Flashing Types

FLASHING TYPES

  • Roof-to-Wall Flashing: Used where a roof meets a wall, like around dormers or chimneys, to keep water from entering between these joints.
  • Window and Door Flashing: Installed around windows and doors to prevent water from seeping into the building around these openings.
  • Valley Flashing: Used in roof valleys where two roof slopes meet, directing water away from the valley to prevent leaks.
  • Drip Edge Flashing: Applied at the edge of roofs to direct water away from the fascia and into the gutters.
  • Sill Flashing: For windowsills or other ledges, this helps direct water outward, preventing it from pooling on the sill.
